Oracle Solaris 10 : Setting up system date and time

The date command takes the syntax mmddhhmmyy, or “month day hour minute year”. You have to be superuser to set the time.

1. Log in to Solaris terminal shell and switch to root user authentication.

2. Execute syntax "date mmddhhmmyy" to setting up system date and time.

3. Below an example of syntax output :

    # date 1201010106
    Fri Dec  1 01:01:00 PST 2006
